Florence And The Machine 是一支来自英国的的独立流行乐队, 女歌手Florence Welch担任主唱，同时也是乐团灵魂支柱；吉他手Robert Ackroyd、鼓手Christopher Lloyd Hayden、键盘手Isabella Summers以及竖琴手Tom Monger等人建立起的The Machine，则是Florence幕后强大的支撑乐团。
乐队成立于2007年，在短短时间内就掳获许多人的目光，2008年的发表的两支暖身作品 Kiss With A Fist 和Dog Days Are Over，皆挤身英国金榜百大单曲之林。在尚未正式发行专辑之前，Florence + The Machine 已率先抱回2009年全英音乐「最佳乐评人奖」，推崇声刹时从四面八方涌入。09年推出的单曲「Rabbit Heart（Raise It Up）」于首周便拿下英国TOP12的好成绩，各大传媒——The Time（4/5）+ The Observer（4/5）+ The Guardian（4/5）+ Drowned In Sound（8/10）——皆给予近满分的破表推崇。
Florence And The Machine 随后坐上BBC的「2009年潜力新人」名单第三名；NME除了力挺有加，更邀请其参与The NME Tours盛会，登上英伦年度超大型户外摇滚祭典Glastonbury、Reading & Leeds的舞台。The Guide赞誉：“Florence + The Machine的疯狂式艺术流行乐将成为2009年最美丽的声响。”
