布伦希尔德深吻着尼伯龙根指环，沉浸在齐格弗里德的爱中

为了这个诺言，她昏睡多年，放弃女武神的神性。

她浑然不知，齐格弗里德在旅途中丧失了记忆，已和他人成婚。

这对情侣，无辜的成为了诸神仇恨的牺牲品，背负了沉重的诅咒：

“若要力量，必先摒弃爱”

奥丁（沃坦）统治着北欧---这片最靠近世界尽头土地

清晨和日暮，那些已逝的灵魂会驾着龙头战船，航行在极光之间

维京，以及西哥特，盎格鲁-撒克逊，古日耳曼这些深受北欧文化熏陶的民族同样豪爽而嗜战。

他们不相信神的救赎，他们只敬仰勇者。

因为战死沙场的狂战士，被暴雨中翻腾的巨浪吞噬的水手才能的到奥丁的注视和关注，他们相信唯有无所畏惧能拯救自己。

当他们临终，瓦格里，奥丁的女儿们会给予他们离世前的拥吻。并引他们升往万神殿，等待着在 诸神的黄昏 一战中，同神灵一起光荣的战至灭亡。

或许唯有北欧的神话有这样悲壮的结局---神和人面临着共同的末日--诸神的黄昏。但他们不期求永生，只愿选择光荣的死法

这种信仰是如此单纯而强烈，以至于天主教传入北欧千余年也无法改变这种民族性格，如今，依然有人从古老的传说中汲取狂野之血，注入旋律中。

这些歌曲并非单纯只有维京，还包括一些民族感觉强烈的其他金属乐风，他们或悠扬哀婉，或高亢磅礴，但都有一个共性-----能让人产生一种对历史和神话的感念。
