蓝草音乐（Bluegrass Music）,乡村音乐的另一个分支，以Bill Monroe的乐队(Bluegrass Boys)来命名，其标准风格就是硬而快的节奏；高而密集的合声；并且显著地强调乐器的作用。 最初作为一种乡村音乐继续发展的同时能够保存其纯净性的方法而存在着，后来蓝草发展成为一种具有自己风格与特点的流派。
