1923年出生于德国汉堡，

1980年6月逝世，享年57岁。

Bert Kaempfert乐团堪称老牌轻音乐团。

是可与“三大轻音乐团”比肩的少数乐团之一。

乐团的基本特征是突出小号音色，演奏主旋律，而由弦乐器予以衬托铺垫，

加之独特的低音和人声...十分动听、美妙，令人回味无穷。

德国轻音乐的奠基人Bert Kaempfert 1923年出生于德国汉堡，1980年6月因突发心脏病逝世，享年57岁。Bert Kaempfert在二次大战以后创建了乐队。乐队的基本特征是突出小号的音色，让他演奏主旋律，而由弦乐器予以衬托铺垫，音乐风格迷人柔情，声情并茂，富于浪漫气息。温情、柔软、浪漫是他的特色，也是他与德国众艺术家不同的地方。与德国其他轻音乐队相比交，他更偏重于改编演奏60、70年代的流行歌曲和舞曲。Bert Kaempfert被当时的德国宝丽金唱片公司聘任为音乐指导，编曲及制作人，最成功的曲目包括：Spanish eyes、Strangers in the night、Wooden Heart、But not Tonight等，尽管后来也有其他乐队的不错演绎，但都无法超越Bert Kaempfert的版本，由于这些原创性的曲目，Bert Kaempfert因此捧红了众多后来风靡世界的歌手，如“披头四”乐队、Frank Sinatra（瘦皮猴）、Jack Jones等。
