歌单介绍

前卫金属脱胎于80年代前后以北美为中心的前卫摇滚，这一阶段的代表乐团和乐手有平克弗洛伊德、大卫鲍伊、瑞克维克曼和他的Yes等。虽然音乐风格各不相同，但无一例外都以奋斗、勇气、赞美；对人生、历史、未来的思索和畅想为主题。之后在梦剧院、灵云等乐团的引领下向金属乐过渡，在90年代完全成型并形成多个体系。像梦剧院就在沿袭传统前卫摇滚的元素，但似乎逐渐流于保守；灵云等团体则是以高昂的能量乐风格表达前卫金属的内容，对生命和宇宙尺度的畅想可以说成为了这种路线的标杆和旗帜；还有一路就是瑞克维克曼古典主义路线的发展，以Avantasia系列、伊甸桥、火神安吉拉等等一大批科班出身的才子共同缔造了最有文化内涵的前卫金属分支，神话和传说是他们取材的源泉，宏大的交响和浓郁的旋律是常用的表现形式。

前卫金属将金属乐的打击，音量，和侵略元素与前卫摇滚的宏伟的伪古典的张扬相混合。当然，有些乐队强调了其中一个元素对另一元素的影响——例如，Dream Theater。相比与其他的乐队，他们更倾向于前卫风格----但是所有乐队都体现了音乐中的基本的张扬风格。以Pink Floyd, Queensryche为代表，前卫金属于80年代末浮出水面。曾有一度，前卫金属相当隐秘，在整个90年代，前卫金属都保持了低调的存在。然而，其流行程度已经足以产生交叉碰撞，最显著地体现为Queensrych的Silent Lucidity。可是尽管如此，前卫金属作品并未在90年代获得很大的经济收益。而如Queensryche，Dream Theater这样的乐队在这十年里一直成为了这一风格的标志。然而到了90年代末，前卫金属毋庸置疑地成为狂热的中坚分子的一致方向。
