　　Sounds Better With Reverb评选的100 Greatest Shoegaze Albums，据此整理。排名有先后。

　　哪帮自以为是的人选出了这张歌单？从屈指可数的几家网站(比我们网站可敬得多)中采集数据，集中分析并给出每张专辑的评分，几个乐痴通听一遍然后分类排名。很偏心吗？我压根不喜欢的Psychocandy排进前十！太神了。涵盖的类型？盯鞋，梦泡和另类摇滚(一般认为它们是一类的)。集结了一些在当代摇滚表演中相对接近“无视听众的自我陶醉” 的乐队(不管它们的音乐相似性)。 换言之，共同理念的胜利！迷幻摇滚、噪音摇滚和蜂鸣不算。包括哪些版式呢？录音室专辑和EP，合集和单曲不算。让我们潜入百张最佳自赏专辑中吧！（渣译）

　　Remember earlier in the year I said there was a long term project underway involving some classic tunes? No? Well – ta-dah! This is it, a list of SBWR’s 100 Greatest Shoegaze Albums. I was going to do the whole, countdown thing, gradually posting tracks… but that would be boring. In fact, halfway through I thought, wow, this is pointless… but in Forest Gump fashion, I’d run far enough not to turn back. The point is, its not about deciding what’s best, its about discovering something new (or old, in this case). Throughout the process of compiling the list, many discoveries were made. There’s a bunch of info on how it was put together on the actual webpage here… 100 Greatest Shoegaze Albums.

　　From whose arse did this list come from? Data was collated from a handful of websites (more respectable than this one), numbers were crunched to give each album a rating, poured over by a few music nerds and then sorted and ranked. Biased much? I don’t even like ‘Psychocandy’ and it’s in the top ten! So ner. Genres included? Shoegaze, dream pop and alternative rock (generally considered to be of the same ilk). Some contemporary rock acts performing in relative proximity to the ‘scene that celebrates itself’ have been lumped in (despite musical similarities). In other words, common perceptions prevail! Psych and noise rock, drone, have not been included. Formats included? Albums and EPs, no compilations, no singles. Dive in…100 Greatest Shoegaze Albums…
