因为其音色具有相当的模仿能力，优美中带点忧郁，同时独有的压音技巧使十孔口琴富有特色，因此适合蓝调（blues）、摇滚(rock)、乡村(country)、民谣(folk)、爵士(jazz)等风格，也是动画、影视娱乐、流行曲配乐最常用的口琴。有些人可以一边弹吉他，一边吹奏十孔口琴，正是夹band（组乐队）的首选！
