psychedelic trance（迷幻恍惚）又名goa trance，发源于印度的一个小岛上。goa即为这小岛的名字 ，旋律常带有印度风味，这类trance的特征，就是很重视旋律，音符之间的细微变化，且常有重叠的旋律，和高亢的tb-303声音出现，有点ambient的味道。
有一个地方，Psychedelic Trance 比任何一种音乐都还流行。在那里，X-Dream比Oakenfold还有更多的追随者，Mark Allen 比Carl Cox还要红 – 那就是以色列。以色列被认为是最具Psychedelic威力的地方，影响Psychedelic Trance至大。以色列的DJ和音乐制作人创造出来他们自己的独述一格的味道。以色列的电音环境也深深着影响世界各地的音乐节，像是印度、欧洲‧‧‧等。
1997年7月，Drugless音乐节在以色列的当地的Beit Shean村落举行，地点接近约旦的边境。有超过一万五千多人来的这里参加派对。当天大部分的活动是由以色列本土DJ上阵，像是：California Sunshine、DJ Zoo-B、MFG等，也包含了国外知名艺人Tyuyoshi、X-Dream、Deedrah、ManMadeMan等。
