Ishkur\'s Guide For Electronic Music refers to this music as \"Synthtron,\" as a whole, with a BUNCH of other side names. iTunes just refers to this music as \"Indie Electronic.\" It started out being called \"Electroclash\" in the 90\'s, when people started referring to popular electro-styled songs as \"Synthpop\" making a comeback. Wikipedia just kept the genre titled \"synthpop\" with a \"second wave.\" I think I\'m most comfortable with that description.
