爵士吉他

也叫匹克吉他，面板和背板都呈弧形，琴颈细而长，面板中间没有圆孔。而是在面板两侧各开一个f形孔。

爵士琴一般都是使用带共鸣箱的电吉他，这样的电琴在音色调整上，音色效果靠后，成为厚重柔软的音色。

发展与演进

爵士乐发展今约有一世纪之久，虽不及古典音乐的久远及完备，但以目前言，也可说是相当的成熟与普及，成为─独立而具有传统的音乐型态，从最初的「蓝调」，（Blues，约1895年），「新奥尔良」（New Orleans ，1900年），「狄西兰」，「芝加哥乐派」（Dixieland、Chicago Style，1910－1920年），「摇摆乐」（Swing ，1930年），「包勃」（Bebop ，1940年），（「硬包勃」（Hard Bop），「凉派爵士」（Cool Jazz ，1950年），「自由爵士」（Free Jazz ，1960年），「爵士摇滚」，「融合爵士」（JazzRock、Fusion，1970年～）迄今，每个时期（约十年为一阶段）都有其不同的特色与变革。
