原来是高中老师，突然间就成为一个福音歌手(burst onto the gospel scene)，媒体如此形容Sara Groves。在美国是属于SONY旗下的EPIC发行，看起来是很有商业潜力的可能，否则商业公司怎会有兴趣。不过，歌词方面却也蛮清楚地让一般消费者认知到这是如假包换的“福音歌”。像第一主打歌Painting Pictures of Egypt，很清楚地是来自旧约圣经“出**记”；与专辑同名的歌Conversations是与上帝的随性谈话、The Word是上帝的话、甚至有Hello Lord这样的歌，“喂，主阿，你最近在干嘛”…还有…自己跟上帝的关系的反省：How It Is Between Us、追寻真理的过程：This Journey Is My Own、疑惑的歌：What Do I Know、信心的歌：Know My Heart、平安的歌：Going Home、也不忘赞美上帝的歌：He’s Always Been Faithful…

Sara Groves的音乐是比较不属一般电视流行歌主流，比较原音乐器的，比较民谣的，比较“乐评家喜欢”那一种，难怪，在2001年终时，许多基督教媒体的“critic’s choice”当常看到Sara Groves的名字。
