歌单介绍
坐长途汽车去斯卡布罗（Scarborough），不为别的，只因为西蒙和加芬克尔的《斯卡布罗集市》（Scarborough Fair）。那究竟是一个什么样的地方呢？从20年前第一次听到这首歌开始，它不止一次引起了我的想象。歌里没有一个字直接说到斯卡布罗的景色，但是那妙不可言的和声，那像是某种神秘呼唤的神奇旋律，总是幻化出幽谷、雾气和看不清楚的野花。下意识中想，不管斯卡布罗什么样，这幽谷、雾气、野花一定是有的。还有，斯卡布罗一定不大，应该是一个极古朴的小镇，但它的周边一定非常大，甚至野，带着荒郊的凄美气息和斑斓色彩。
2002年5月30日，这么联想着，来到了斯卡布罗。确实，我想象的东西一样都不少，但意外的东西，比想象中吻合的东西，多出了一百倍。
仅过了2个月，我第二次来到斯卡布罗，这一回的意外，又跟第一次不同。在一年的两个不同季节，有两个完全不一样的斯卡布罗。
斯卡布罗是英格兰东北部的一个海滨小镇。现实中见到的斯卡布罗，和歌曲里作为背景的斯卡布罗，重点全然不同。我眼中的斯卡布罗，绝对是一个可以与英格兰民歌，与西蒙和加芬克尔的二重唱，与莎拉·布莱曼美艳得掉粉的歌声相匹敌的地方，但是，它不是歌曲里的那个斯卡布罗，虽然用心找，你也一定能找到。
5月30日，夏天还没有来，但空气中已经开始焕发初夏的气息，英格兰最美的季节开始了！天地布下最优美的大海、最空旷的海滩、最蓝的天空和最大最白的云，但客人们还没一个到场。我就是在这个时候第一次光顾了这个叫斯卡布罗的海滨小镇。
我在歌曲中没有想到的是：
一、斯卡布罗居然有这么鲜艳的色彩，十足一个敞向海洋的国际港湾，迎接、拥抱、融汇着来自各地，甚至包括拜占庭、阿拉伯的异国情调。虽然，信步走去，一两个小时就踏遍了它的每一处胜景，但心理中的斯卡布罗，是一个太大的小镇。
二、它有一个那么扎台型的高居于山顶的古堡，古堡的大半已被毁，只剩下一个墙垛。但这个墙垛，比完整的古堡更古堡，像同时敞开了外貌和内脏，残缺得完美。
三、它有一个同样扎台型的海上灯塔，洁白洗亮，白天也发出照亮了全镇所有人眼睛的光。
四、它还有古城墙，沿着山脊蜿蜒，从某个角度看上去，仿佛中国长城的某一个局部。
五、灯塔的后面是一个船坞，船停在里面，整齐得不像真的，远远看去仿佛一队舰船模型。
六、漂亮的长嘴白色海鸟。
七、漂亮的渔具、船，长绿毛的滩涂和滩涂上长绿毛的建筑物的脚。
八、Fish & Chips。斯卡布罗快餐店里的“鱼和薯条”，分量特别多，味道特别肥；吃一顿，管两顿饱。
下面的照片，就是第一次斯卡布罗之行留下的。
话说到了这个份儿上，差不多快成了小资白领文艺，矫情媚雅装装。哈哈，全中国的小资们白领们文青们，欢迎大家到斯卡布罗装装！只是，当走进这个小镇的第一步，你就可能完全忘掉了西蒙和加芬克尔，现实的斯卡布罗就是现实的斯卡布罗，你若是带着西蒙和加芬克尔的歌声，你不可能见识到真的斯卡布罗。
香港人把Scarborough翻译作“斯伽婆罗”，也很妙，它确实也有“斯伽婆罗”的那种气息。
有了2002年的两次经历，从此，我会照样唱西蒙和加芬克尔的Scarborough Fair，但心里面同时混音三个斯卡布罗的形象：
初夏的一个。盛夏的一个。还有，第一次听这歌曲时仿佛初恋的一个。
