Funky 一词其实来源黑人街头的一句粗俗的俚语，funky funk 来自一个通俗易懂的单词，大家自动脑补。70年代，人们已经厌倦了以往枯燥的生活，黑人区的贫困和种族歧视依然很厉害，那么在有色人群之中，音乐家确实珍贵异常，他们的作品往往会打破格局，让不同种族不同阶层的人们一起开心跳舞，可是酒醒以后一睁眼发现肤色还是巨大的障碍。那么带给人们这种强烈的刺激的音乐就是 Funky，强调重拍，节奏律动劲爆，歌手经常扯着嗓子的嚎叫，抒发的词曲大意也不过是“妹子，快来，干杯，然后我们一起飞……”这种挑逗意味更浓烈的词汇，道貌岸然的人群那副皮囊下面那小小躁动的心--知乎
