by MacKenzie WilsonLolita Storm is the new generation's answer to grrrl power. These U.K. bad girls formed in 1999 in the midst of burgeoning teen pop reign of Britney Spears and Ronan Keating. They were factory workers, waitresses, and teenage nightmares who were tired of such frilly soul-sapping, so they gave U.K. DJ Steve Lamacq a demo tape and the rest is history. Lolita Storm looked to deafen the heavy pop scene and heat things up on their debut, G.F.S.U. (an acronym for Girls F*cking Sh*t Up), released in August 2000.
