Rapper Shä-Key first jammed with seven-piece band Rhythm Method at parties in her home of Yonkers, NY. A videotape of one performance earned the band a contract with Imago, who issued her jazz- and soul-tinged debut, A Head Nädda's Journey to Adidi Skizm, in 1994.
