One of the many projects headed by avant-metal guitarist and songwriter Mick Barr, Ocrilim was -- in some ways -- the step-sibling project of his work under the moniker of Octis. Barr (also -- at one time or another -- part of such projects at the Ipecac Recordings band Orthrelm, Crom-tech, and Quix*O*Tic) released his first work as Ocrilim, -- two seven inches -- Ocrilorx 1 & 2 in 2003. A full length, Anoint, followed in 2006. In 2008, a second album appeared, this time on the post metal/avant metal label Hydrahead, entitled Annwn. The project (Ocrilim as well as Octis) also made waves in a handful of live appearances over the years.
