英国音乐人Jack Allsopp1978年生于北伦敦，被人熟知的还是他的艺名“Just Jack”。Jack从小就在一个受舞蹈熏陶和影响很深的环境中成长起来，霹雳舞，电子Hip Hop，House舞无所不包。8岁的他就已经是一个小有名气的霹雳舞者了，对于所爱的舞曲的执著他在15岁的时候开始了自己的DJ生涯并从此陶醉在DJ 和美国仓库文化之中。在完成了一个家具设计的学位以后，Jack又申请了一个关于大众音乐制作的课程。这个课程帮助他提高了对潜在创作素材的选取的灵感。这也激发Jack更加全神贯注于白天从事一系列工作来搜集灵感，晚上全身心完善自己的音乐。2002年Jack推出了自己的第一张专辑《The Outer Marker》。整张专辑都流露着对现代社会生活，人与人的关系还有重压下的社会地位的描写。专辑在RGR Records公司发行以后尽管被批评家嘲讽歌词很差，但是仍旧得到了非常高的赞誉。虽然2002年后他就开始了一个长时间的休整期，07年之前都没有任何好的消息传来。但是随着他在BBC2的著名节目《Later with Jools Holland》上的处子秀和Channel 4剧集《The Friday Night Project》中英国榜单第二名的单曲《Starz In Their Eyes》的推出，Jack再次回到了我们的视线中来。

Sometimes a little Madness can help a lot. Jack Allsopp -- better known as Just Jack -- had worked as a flower arranger, gardener, and cleaner ("anything to put crust on the table") before he landed a job at RGRecords. Allsopp casually handed over a copy of his demo to the label's owner, Chas Smith, the man who used to sing and dance up a storm in Madness. Smith fell in love with Just Jack's sound and quickly signed Allsopp to a four-album deal. It was a long time coming for the Camden, England, rapper. Allsopp had been in love with all forms of black music since he was a young lad, and he had been DJing since the age of 14. He never really cared for the indie guitar scene, but electro, hip-hop, and house always excited him. Allsopp fused elements of all his favorite genres, added his own English twist, and recorded the "Snowflakes" single for RGR in 2003. Support from the U.K. press came quickly and a mash-up mix of "Snowflakes" and the Cure's "Lullaby" by Eddy Temple Morris and Jay Reynolds became an instant club smash. The popular mash-up was added to the U.S. release of Just Jack's debut, The Outer Marker, released by TVT in late 2003. In 2006 he released the elaborate and laidback album Overtones.
