艺人介绍

by Michael CusanelliAfter leaving Ho Hum, a band that had made the rounds from major label next big thing to independent local, Kevin Kerby decided to take a different look at the music he was making. Having enough of the typical corporate band factory, he decided to take a different path.

Growing up in Texas, Kerby was in several bands with longtime friend Brent Best from Slobberbone. He moved to Arkansas to go to college. In 1992 Kerby joined Ho Hum. He started Mulehead at this time filling out the band with friends and bandmates. The first Mulehead record, Never Again, reflects this lineup.

After quitting Ho Hum in 1996 he began to solidify the Mulehead lineup. He first added guitar player Dave Raymond while looking to promote Never Again. Dave had played in several local bands. Through Dave Geoff Curran joined the group to play drums. He was new to the area and had most recently played drums on Jim Roll's 1999 release Lunnette. Brent Labeau rounded out the permanent lineup on bass guitar. Much like Kerby, Labeau, had gone the major-label route with a stint in the Gun Bunnies. Together this lineup released the Gospel Accordion II in 1999.
