The Velvetones first three singles -- One Day, Sweet Lorraine, and Swing Out, It Dont Cost Nothin -- appeared simultaneously on Coronet in March of 1946, followed later that year by Dont Say Youre Sorry Again and Singing River. After replacing $|1DAWKINSDawkins with bassist $|1POP|WILLIEPop Willie, the Velvetones signed to the Chicago-based Sonora label to issue Pittsburgh Joe and It Just Aint Right, respectively their sixth and seventh singles of the year 1946. However, it took nearly a year for the follow-ups, the concurrently issued Ask Anyone Who Knows and Dont Bring Me No News.
