Hazel English is a Bay Area based artist who makes really beautiful lo-fi pop music in debt to DIY and shoe-gaze greats English draws comparisons to everyone from Alvvays to touring partners Ride, but with a soaring, hypnotic melodic sense that's more akin to contemporaries like Grimes. With the help of her producer Day Wave's Jackson Philips, they collectively head San Franscisco's current lofi indie explosion.
