1975年5月8日，Enrique出生在西班牙的马德里，其父就是大名鼎鼎Julio Iglesias(胡里奥•伊格莱西亚斯)。当他还是个孩子时就随父亲迁居到了美国的迈阿密，没过多久，他便迷上了滚石乐队（The Rolling Stones）。15岁那年，他的音乐才能逐渐显露出来，他开始用英语写歌，并借他朋友的车库用来排练，当时的风格深受警察乐队（the Police）和Dire Straits的影响。随着年龄的增长，Enrique受到拉美、加勒比海、北美文化的影响和他体内血液中的母性文化的召唤，开始使用母语来进行创作。很多年以后，Enrique接受《洛杉矶时报》记者采访时是这样回忆成长的经历：“是Bob Dylan、Bruce Springsteen、Rod Stewart、Billy Joel的音乐伴随我长大的。我购买第一张CD就是Dire Straits，当年我才7岁。我是靠我对音乐的热情来征服听众的，Bruce Springsteen和Bob Dylan同样也是这样。”

虽然，《ENRIQUE》早在一年前就开始酝酿，但从创作到录制完成仅用了两个月时间，此专辑分别在洛杉矶、迈阿密、伦敦录音，Mark Taylor、Paul Berry、Pat Leonard、Rick Nols、Lester Mendez等共同参与该专辑的录制工作。Enrique的好友Clive Davis请来了王牌创作人Diane Warren和David Foster创作，还请来了Whitney Houston与Enrique共同演唱“Could I Have This Kiss Forever”。在录制完这张专辑后，Enrique写下了这样一句话：“我在此专辑中真切感受到了自由，这是我首张英语大碟，我无法同我以前的作品相比较，这是我最成功的一次音乐体验。”

Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler known professionally as Enrique Iglesias, is a Spanish of Filipino descent singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. Iglesias started his career in the mid-1990s on an American Spanish Language record label Fonovisa Records under the name Enrique Martinez, before switching to the stage name Enrique Iglesias and becoming one of the biggest stars in Latin America and the Hispanic market in the United States. By the turn of the millennium, he had made a successful crossover into the mainstream market and signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group for US $68,000,000 with Universal Music Latino to release his Spanish albums and Interscope Records to release English albums. In 2010, he parted with Interscope Records and signed with another Universal Music Group label Republic Records to release bilingual albums. In 2015, Enrique parted ways with Universal Music Group after a decade. He signed with Sony Music; his upcoming albums will be by Sony Music Latin in Spanish and RCA Records in English.
Iglesias has sold over 137 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling Spanish artists ever. Iglesias has scored over 150 number-one hits across all of the Billboard charts. He has had five Billboard Hot 100 top five singles, including two number-ones, and holds the record for producing 27 number-one Spanish-language singles on the Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks. He also holds the record for most number-one hits and the longest-running number-one hit on that chart. Iglesias also has 13 number-ones on Billboard's Dance charts, more than any other male artist.He is the best-selling Latin artist in the UK and the best-selling international artist in India.
On 29 June 2013 Republic Records confirmed that Enrique's first single from his upcoming album is titled "Turn the Night Up".On 24 August 2013, "Loco" was released on iTunes as the lead Spanish single from his upcoming album. The smooth bachata track features vocals from urban bachata superstar Romeo Santos.On 17 September 2013, Z100 Radio played Enrique's third single from his upcoming bilingual studio album. The single is titled "Heart Attack" and was released in October 2013.
On 29 January 2014, Iglesias announced the title of his tenth studio album would be Sex and Love.The album was released on 14 March 2014.
His latest hit is "Bailando" ft. Sean Paul, Descemer Bueno, Gente De Zona. Bailando got him 3 Latin Grammys after one decade even his previous album, Euphoria got a him a nomination. Bailando also earned him Shakira's previous record on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs record. Bailando has currently spent 41 weeks at #1 on that chart. Bailando was also YouTube's second most watched music video of 2014, taking after Katy Perry's hit single, Dark Horse. Bailando has currently over 1 Billion views that holds the record for most watched Latin music video and second most watched non-English music video ever, as of 20 August 2015. Bailando was included on the Just Dance 2015 soundtrack.
"Sex and Love" was Spotify's 7th most listened album worldwide in 2014. Bailando topped the most listened song In Mexico and Spain. Iglesias was also called the King of 2014, due to his tenth album, Sex And Love, and his hit single, Bailando. Billboard called him "The Crowd Pleaser" of 2014. After more than a decade with Universal Music, Iglesias left the record label in 2015 and signed on with Sony Music.
He holds the record for longest reign of a single on top a Billboard chart with his hit - Bailando, since May 17, 2014 to February 25, 2015.
He attended 57th Annual Grammy Awards as presenter in 2015.
