艺人介绍

by Larry BelangerOriginating from the heart of Philadelphia, PA, this all-star lineup boasts a colorful group of personnel with decades of experience. Bandleader Pete Eshelman is featured on accordion and vocals and he has played piano with such artists as Bo Diddley, Sleepy LaBeef, and New Orleans own Charles Honeyboy Otis. The guitarist for the band, Jared Snyder, studied with one of zydecos legendary originators, Bois Sec Ardoin. He has also performed with another seminal Louisiana artist, Canray Fontenot. Jared Snyder is a world-reknowned prolific songwriter focusing on Louisiana and world music. Troy Corley, born and raised in Louisiana, plays saxophone and possesses first-hand knowledge of the bayou rhythms. He has worked extensively throughout the south with such artists as Gladys Knight & the Pips, Freda Payne, and Cab Calloway. The drummer for the band, Bob Holden, also works regularly with rhythm & blues big band the Dukes of Destiny. He has also backed national recording artists such as soul singer Terry Evans and roots-blues legend Otis Rush. A seasoned veteran on bass guitar, Randy Lippincott has worked with dozens of blues greats over the years, including Pinetop Perkins, Lowell Fulson, and Johnny Littlejohn. As the bassist and bandleader for eight years with the late Johnny Clyde Copeland, he recorded four CDs while also appearing in 17 countries on four continents. Their mission was spreading worldwide the gospel of soulful rocking rhythm & blues. Seasoning off the group nicely on percussion is the newest member Pamela Eshelman. She brings to the band a swinging sense of rhythm and a truly contagious on-stage enthusiasm. Whether Zydeco A-Go-Go is playing a neighborhood street party, big outdoor music festival, downtown nightclub, small-town fair, black-tie dinner dance fundraiser, college dance concert, backyard crawfish boil, or one of those non-stop everybodys-up-and-dancin wedding receptions, they always deliver fresh, exciting, irresistible dance music. They love to give the people a Zydeco Dance Party!, which incidentally is also the name of their 1999 debut CD release.
