丹尼斯·布莱恩（Dennis Brain）（1921年5月17日——1957年9月1日）英国音乐界最令人惊奇的人物之一。他来自一个充满了法国号演奏名家的家族，他十五岁才准练法国号，两年后他就已经登台演出布兰登堡协奏曲，二十一岁就成为英国国家交响乐团首席，战后立刻就被史托可夫斯基延揽到费城管弦乐团，然后就被作曲家布瑞顿相中，并在同一年被李格的爱乐管弦乐团和毕勤的皇家爱乐相中，兼任两团的首席法国号手。他短短十五年的音乐生涯，让法国号在当时的欧洲成为新兴的独奏乐器，许多作曲家都被他吸引开始为法国号写作新乐曲。毕勤称许布莱恩的法国号演奏为“猛鹰的吹奏”，是最贴切的形容。
Dennis Brain (17 May 1921 – 1 September 1957) was a British virtuoso horn player who was largely credited for popularizing the horn as a solo classical instrument with the post-war British public. With the collaboration of Herbert von Karajan and the Philharmonia Orchestra, he produced what many still consider to be the definitive recordings of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's horn concerti.
