After receiving interest from Polygram and recording some more commercial-sounding demos for that label, the band relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1987, in the hopes of finding success on the United States mainland. Sacred Rite broke up with the departure of Kaleiwahea in 1989, Dee, Crane, and Dickerson carried on under the names Beauty Knows Pain and Tragic Nancy, changing styles and employing various other members, ultimately being reduced to a classic rock covers band. Dickerson quit Tragic Nancy in 1994. Dee and Crane worked together in a Las Vegas, Nevada classic rock covers band called Time Machine until 1996. In 2007, Sacred Rite reunited and recorded a new album. For the drums, they used samples of Kevin Lum's drumming to construct beats.
