Boys Age begin playing and recording by Kaz and Takamasa Kobayashi in Saitama, Japan.
After some works self-released, Boys Age released US debut album “Fake Gold” on tapes by Burger Records(Fullerton) w/ GNAR TAPES(Portland), and then has released on 2xCDs by Bleeding Gold(San Diego) in 2013.
Later, They are loved across the border as "Japanese DIY master" in whole the world. And then They continue to release so many albums as The Great Mage of Pop Music.
Muto use the outdated equipment with Ingenuity and rich ideas, and make too many songs as a perennial spring, sing gentle melodies drifting in beautiful world of own creation.
Boys Age music is the golden gems for the same generation musicians. They singing the praises of Boys Age. In addition, Boys Age has received applause from the upper generation such as R.Stevie Moore and Sonny Smith.
A voice like "Wraith clause of resentment". People confused badly by Muto's poetic lyrics and bizarre pronunciation.
People can't understand what Kaz's sing. but People will be able to understand their music like respond to the subtleties of children's feelings.
ボーイズエイジは埼玉で始まった。いくつかの自主作品の後、2013年にUSデビューアルバムをBURGER RECORDS/GNAR TAPES/Bleeding Goldの3レーベルからリリースし、その後立て続けに世界中でリリースを続け、「ジャパニーズDIYマスター」の異名とともに世界中のコアリスナーに愛されている。
ムトーは古い機材×豊穣の発想×創意工夫を持って、美しき世界を創造し続けている。亡霊の怨嗟のごとき声、詩的な歌詞と奇怪な発音に、人々はひどく混乱する。
彼等の歌を理解することは難解だが、その音楽を楽しむことは、子供の感情の機微に応えるかのように容易だろう。
2015年-
初のレーベルリリースによる全国流通盤をMagniphよりリリース。そして再びのBURGER RECORDSからリリースされ、DIY magazineやTiny Mix Tapesでも取り上げられた『Calm Time』を筆頭に、様々なアルバムが日本、米国、伊太利亜、英吉利、愛蘭など世界各国でリリース。米国老舗ラヂヲ『WFMU』でもプレイされるなど着実なステップアップを続けている。
またSonny & the Sunsetsで知られるサンフランシスコのカルトスター『ソニー・スミス』とのコラボや、10月にはAriel PinkやJad Fairとのコラボを行っている米国のDIYゴッドファーザー『Rスティーヴ・ムーア』とのスプリット7"もリリース。
