艺人介绍

by Marisa BrownDaughter of British folk icons Rick Kemp and Maddy Prior (from Steeleye Span), Rose Kemp tried her hand at her parents' music, singing in and writing for her mother's trio when she was only 15 and releasing a solo album, Glance, in 2003, before she realized that her interests truly lay in harder-edged electric guitar-oriented rock songs. She self-issued a mini-album with help from members of the Oxford-based band the Fourers, eventually moving to London, and then to Bristol, where she had developed a strong local following. With her band still back in the capital, Kemp decided to work and tour as a solo artist, looping her voice to add harmonies and depth to her live shows. In early 2006 the singer began work on her record, A Hand Full of Hurricanes, and soon after started touring with a new band. In 2007 the album, released by One Little Indian, came out in both the U.K. and the U.S.
