Don’t Mind comes out with a rare fusion of emotional compositions. This soulful blend of guitar and acoustical accompaniments takes the journey through the various aspects of life. Robbie Phillips releases his first CD in almost 20 years, experiences and traces of his life are woven through each song.
Robbie, a Florida native, began his musical journey creating Siren in 1978. Touring across the United States and Europe, Siren grew into a major band with a following that even now looks forward to it’s return.
Robbie creates his music beginning with the lyrics. “I feel the melody and then it expands to lyrics and music.” Working with his guitar Robbie carefully crafts the tune, creating a tapestry of imagery and tones. Mike Cupino adds instrumental accompaniment to compliment each song bringing about a wonderful combination that is unique to Siren.
With the completion of Don’t Mind, the second CD is beginning to take shape. Where the music leads is always part of the mystery. It starts as an idea and then takes shape as Robbie allows it to lead.
