Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike 是比利时兄弟组合Dimitri Thivaios 和 Michael Thivaios。

Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have come a very long way in a very short period of time. In just 2 years, they’ve bypassed the usual steps to making it big by proving they have super-star quality in everything they do. They are sought after producers, remixers to the A-list elite and number 1 hit makers. The accolades they’ve clocked up so far are equal to those some DJ stalwarts amass during a lifetime!
On The Road, On The Rise
Increasingly reading like the departure board of JFK, Dimitri and Mike’s international tour diary is booming, as fans around the world demand to witness for themselves the exhilarating performance that has seen the brotherly duo become one of the hottest new dance tickets for 2012. After their debut North American tour in November 2011, they broke the news in early December of not one, but two new tours to hit the continent, an unexpected, but hotly anticipated January tour and, at the personal request of Dimmak head honcho Steve Aoki, a further six dates in March as part of Aoki’s Deadmeat Tour. Add to the equation scorching performances across South America, increasing amounts of headline sets at some of Europe’s biggest venues – including London’s prestigious Ministry of Sound and legendary Ibiza institution Pacha – and debut tours in the Far East and Asia, and it’s clear that Dimitri and Mike are a pair on the ascendance across the planet. And after smashing their way into the 2011 DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll position at an impressive 79, the pair are focused on rising even further come the 2012 results through sheer hard work, talent and their unwavering dedication.
Kings Of Tomorrowland And Beyond
In just two years Dimitri and Mike have worked with the hottest names in the industry, set international dance charts and radio stations on fire and been commissioned to produce not one, but two anthems for one of the most creative forces on the planet. In 2010, Dimitri and Mike were picked by ID&T to provide the official theme tune for Belgian mega-festival Tomorrowland. Their collaboration with Dada Life and Tara McDonald, Tomorrow Give In was pure dynamite, so much so that when Tomorrowland 2011 came onto the horizon, the duo were once again the natural choice for event organisers. The Way We See The World, co-produced with Grammy Award-winner Afrojack and Australian pop royalty NERVO, shot straight to the top of the Beatport Charts and remained there for weeks, cementing the pair’s undeniable hit-making prowess. But the Tomorrowland singles aren’t the brothers’ only anthems. The burgeoning duo are highly accomplished producers with a string of top-flight results to their name. They scored N°1 in Belgium with Liquid Skies, and their version of Pump Up The Jam with Techotronic on Refune was one of the most heavily supported tracks of the year. 2011 saw the pair sign Generation X to Size Records, release Madagascar and their huge rework of Amé’s Rej on their Smash The House Imprint, collaborate with the king of Miami house Robbie Rivera on My Heart and unleash their Stomp EP through Steve Aoki’s Dimmak. Their passion for new music has extended past their own work; 2011 also saw a slew of firebrand productions with up and coming artists Yves V, Angger Dimas, Wolfpack, Basto and more signing to the brothers’ Smash The House imprint.
The Remix Masters
If you’re A-list and you want a remix, of late there’s been one name – or make that two – on everybody’s lips; Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Fast becoming one of the go-to acts for major artists, the demand for the pair’s editing skills has gone through the roof. From their debut remix Work That Body back in 2009 which caught the attention of label boss Axwell, who immediately commissioned them for Abel Ramos’s Rotterdam City of Love; to arguably the biggest artist in the world right now, Lady Gaga, who requested the boys’ take on her single Marry The Night, a remix that within hours of completion was scooped up for Radio 1’s peak-time Friday night show Ready For The Weekend. In between the pair have reworked everyone from Billboard royalty Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull (Papi), MTV favourites LMFAO (Champagne Showers), the infamous Swedish House Mafia (Leave The World Behind), Tiesto, Snoop Dogg and more.
Only The Beginning
It is, it seems, a veritable fairytale story emerging from this talented and grittily determined duo from Belgium. But ladies and gentlemen, let’s not forget that their story is still in its infancy and this really is just the very beginning of that will be a very eventful and successful journey.
