成长历程
2007年夏天，22岁的Carly Rae Jepsen参加了加拿大当地的“Canadian Idol”选秀节目。表现突出的她获得了第3名。
2011年9月20日，Carly Rae Jepsen发行了自己的新单曲《Call Me Maybe》。轻快俏皮的节奏，亮点无限的MV，很快便在各大视频网站蹿红。2012年2月，在上榜15周后（BillboardCanadian Hot 100），Carly终于迎来了个人的第一首冠单！
于2012年加拿大当红明星Justin Bieber签下了这一位新人Carly Rae Jepsen，并和SG等明星一同出现在她翻拍的Call Me Maybe MV中。前几天她也和JB在录音室合作。这首歌在加拿大已大火，加拿大Itunes下载热度升到第1位。2012年6月又凭借《Call Me Maybe》获得Billboard冠军。

2012年6月26日月她与Owl City合作的歌曲Good Time在 Itunes上发售。
2012年7月 Good Time在Billboard上首战第十八名。数字下载榜首战第六名。Itunes第3名。7月在Call Me Maybe蝉联公告牌榜单7周冠军后，Carly 成为环球公司在Billboard上连冠最长的女歌手，甚至超越了Lady Gaga的Born This Way(6周）。
2012年8月Call Me Maybe终于结束了在Billboard上对冠军长达九周的封锁，至此Carly成为2012年连冠最长的歌手。同时单曲Good Time 挺进Billboard前十，在当周Billboard中Carly 与 Maroon5在前十均有两首单曲在榜，可谓创造了一个全新的记录。
2015年3月推出单曲《I Really Like You》，3月6日，该曲的MV推出，汤姆·汉克斯担任MV主角；8月21日发行第三张录音室专辑《Emotion》。

1985-2010：Early life and Tug of War
Carly Rae Jepsen (born November 21, 1985) is a Canadian recording artist and singer-songwriter from Mission, British Columbia. In 2007, she placed third in Canadian Idol season five's competition and was a part of the Canadian Idol Top 3 concert tour. Shortly after competing on Canadian Idol, she independently released her debut album, Tug of War, through MapleMusic Recordings on September 30, 2008.
2011-2013: Curiosity and mainstream success
Three years later, she released a new single, titled "Call Me Maybe", on Canadian label 604 Records, which was followed by the release an extended play titled Curiosity on February 14, 2012. In February 2012, pop singer Justin Bieber referred her to his manager, Scooter Braun, who subsequently signed Jepsen to his Schoolboy Records label while obtaining an American deal with global distribution on affiliate Interscope Records, after "Call Me Maybe" gained popularity on YouTube by reaching 400 million views. The single reached the number one spot on both the US Billboard and Canadian Hot 100, while also topping the charts in 19 other countries. Jepsen's musical influences include James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Van Morrison.
Jepsen has received multiple awards and nominations, including three Juno Awards and two Grammy Award nominations. She was also named by Billboard as 2012's Rising Star and introduced in Canada's Walk of Fame's Slaight Allan Awards.
2014-Present: Emotion and other projects
Jepsen's third album, Emotion, was released in 2015 with mostly positive reviews, and was heavily influenced by songs from the 1980s. Its lead single "I Really Like You" reached the top 5 in the United Kingdom and top 15 in Jepsen's native Canada.
Jepsen has received multiple awards and nominations, including three Juno Awards, a Billboard Music Award, and an Allan Slaight Award.As of May 2015, Jepsen has sold more 20 million records worldwide.
