Fit for a King also known as FFAK is a Christian metal band from both Dallas and Tyler, Texas that started in 2007. They released two independent EPs in 2008 entitled Fit for a King and 2009's Awaken the Vesper and they release one independent LP entitled Descendants in 2011. Then, the band released two successive studio albums with their label Solid State Records entitled Creation/Destruction (2013) and a re-recorded Descendants (2013).
Fit For A King started in Tyler, Texas in 2007. The original lineup included Alex Danforth, Aaron Decur, Jared Mcferron, Justin Juno, Jed McNeill, and Jared Easterling. Mason Wilson replaced Alex Danforth on lead vocals in 2008. When Wilson left the band in 2010, Ryan Kirby from the Fort Worth, Texas band Bodies Awake was his replacement. Kirby's Bodies Awake bandmate Bobby Lynge also joined on guitar. The band signed to Solid State Records in 2012. The band is now based out of Dallas.
