by Scott YanowA colorful arranger, Roger Neumann has released only two albums by his "Rather Large Band" (one in 1983 and the other in 1993, both for SeaBreeze), but they are both memorable. A jazz educator based in Los Angeles with experience playing tenor with Woody Herman (1967), Bob Crosby, and Anita O'Day, Neumann has contributed arrangements for his wife/singer Madeline Vergari, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Ray Brown, and even the Beach Boys.
