Keepsake was an American emo/screamo band formed in 1997 by Paul Geller and Mark Silva in Coral Springs, Florida. After releasing three records "The Things I Would Say," "She Hums Like a Radio," and "The Ened of Sound" on the independent label, Eulogy Recordings, Geller left the band. They continued for another year, producing their forth record, "Black Dress in a B Movie." Keepsake had more than a handful of lineup changes in their six years but the members are generally accepted to have been Paul Geller (Guitars '95-'01), Mark Silva (Guitars '95-'98), Shane Halpern (Vocals '96-'02), Dan Mazin (Bass '96-'99), Colby Hooper (Drums '96-'98), Jesse Kriz (Drums '96-'98). Other members or session players included Chris Hornbrook (Poison the Well), Duane Hosein, Tommy Trimble, Bobby Yapkowitz, Jesse Steele, Derek Carty, Brian Pugh, Richard O'Neil, Mykee Shaffer, Justin Manlove, Adam Gobble

Geller went on to produce, engineer or perfom on a dozen indie and major label distributed records, including his solo project for Kligman Recording Academy (owned by former Keepsake guitarist, Mark Silva). Paul is an ASCAP member and has published nearly 50 songs. In 2001 Geller started DJing nationally as Pauly Crush and by 2007 was running one of the largest networks of underground dance parties in the Southeast. He later joined the tech side of the music business as an Executive at music streaming service Grooveshark and then as founder of Sponsr.com. Jesse Kriz was later a part of acclaimed hardcore bands, Actions Speak Louder and Until the End. Shane continues to play and write for homself. The other band members have gone on to play in various emo and indie bands.
