As well as being involved with extreme metal bands such as Autumnal Winds and Shroud of Despondency, Minnesota native Tanner Anderson is the one-man multi-instrumentalist behind Celestiial -- an ambient funeral doom project inspired by the likes of Earth, Disembowelment, and Evoken, among others. Taking shape in 2004 with the debut mini-album Ashen, Celestiial is a studio-only concern, not prone to touring anytime soon, and returned in 2006 with the aptly titled Desolate North LP.
