Armin van Buuren，中文名字：阿明•凡•布伦。出生于1976年12月25日是荷兰Trance音乐DJ及唱片制作人. 他出生于荷兰莱顿，但在Koudekerk aan den Rijn长大。他的人生可说充满了音乐，因此Armin会踏上电音DJ一途，一点也不令人意外。打从小时候开始，他便不断看著父亲总是在为著音乐的事情忙碌，手上播放著一张接著一张的唱片。所以在耳濡目染下，Armin很早便对音乐产生了兴趣，到了80年代，更因著好友的推荐，开始接触混音的技巧，也因此奠定他将来决心走入电音界，进而世界知名的电音DJ。

在了解DJ基础的技巧之后，Armin转而对运用电脑制作电音，产生了极大的兴趣。其实早在9岁时，他就利用Basic程式作了人生中的第一首歌，所以 Armin心中最感兴趣的两件事便是 – 音乐与电脑，这两样东西也是他大部分创作音乐的灵感来源，就像是他所仰慕的两位电子音乐先锋Jean Michel Jarre与Klaus Schule，启发了Armin在电音方面独到的品味。

虽然Armin在 2004 年完成了他的法律学位, 更是当地的法律事务人员, 但他还是把他的工作定位为一个专业的音乐人. Armin在他当地一间名为Nexus 的夜总会开始了他的 DJ 生涯, 并在 1995 年完成高中课程, 及后更在莱顿大学进修法律.同时, 他更把他家中的设备搬至 '真正' 的工作室之中.他在他工作室中第一首制作的音乐, 也算是 "Touch Me" 及 "Communication" 吧. Armin他更经常说 : "不要成为你风格中的罪人."他说他自己的音乐类型是属于 "自由的, 愉快的, 振奋的, 有旋律的及活力的."

他主持名为A State of Trance的 Trance 电台音乐节目. 在广播了 6 年后的 2007 年 5 月, 这节目的播放集数达至第 300 集.

于 2002 年 10 月, Armin在DJ Magazine的百大票选中被选为排名第五的DJ. 来年攀升至第三位, 更连续保持了四年. 他的努力, 令他在 2006 年被排在仅次于Paul van Dyk一位的第二。

积聚了这么多年的成果, 他终于在 2007 年的百大票选中赢取排名第一的美誉.2012年，他再次获此殊荣。

Armin很大部份的时间都是单独在他的工作室工作. 他从来也没有雇用任何的音响工程师, 以主张他不想音乐被工程师所改变。

从 1995 年开始, Armin在很多不同的唱片公司中发行过很多的唱片. 最成功的其中一首就是在Cyber Records 发行的 "Blue Fear". 这首被喻为 "欧洲 Trance 蓝图" 的歌曲成功地打入英国UK排行榜. 而 "Communication" 也是同一唱片公司所发行的一首, 于 1999 年的夏天, 在西班牙的Ibiza岛上大获好评. 及后签约于 AM PM 唱片后, 这首歌更直接打入2000 年的英国排行榜第十八位。

正当踏入1999 年之际, Armin正式与 United 唱片开始他的唱片品牌业务Armind. 第一首发行的作品 - "One" 备受赞赏. 第二首以 Rising Star 名义发行的作品 "Touch Me", 更在发行前被英国Ministry Of Sound签下。

在他第三首发行作品, Gimmick - "Free" 被签于 R&S 唱片的时候, Armin的唱片公司业务开始热闹起来. 在Warner Brothers的旗下唱片品牌Captivating Sounds, 以Gaia为名, 发行了"4 Elements" 这首单曲. 期后与Tiesto一起合作创造出两个项目 : 在 Blackhole 发行的 Major League - "Wonder Where You Are?" 及在 Armind 发行的 Alibi - "Eternity". 当中 Eternity" 更在很多的夜总会及排行榜上大获好评, 之后就把歌曲签约于Paul van Dyk的Vandit 唱片. 再说其他大形合作的话, 不可说少了特意与Ferry Corsten合作, 为 System F. 大碟而制作的 "Exhale". 及后把这首歌发行单曲后, 即时在发行月内攀升至金榜。

2000年, Armin开始了他的AVB专辑系列. 他要在Progressive,Techno及Trance音乐之中找出一点平衡. AVB001 - "A State of Trance" (不要与他每周的电台节目 ASOT 混淆) 售出超过 10,000 张, 当中收录了凡布伦其中一首为 Moogwai混音的闻名作品 - "Viola". 在 AVB002 "Basic Instinct" 之中收录了一首新曲 : "Perpetuous Dreamer" - "The Sound Of Goodbye". 这首作品在 2001 年的荷兰排行榜排名 26. 及后一年, 在 Hot Dance Music/Club Play 的榜上更攀升至第一位. AVB003 - "In Motion" 于 2001 年 8 月 6 日发行. 这专辑中收录的歌曲堪称是真正 Trance 的音乐, 在美国非常受欢迎. 在接着的 2002 年, 发行了 AVB004 - "Transparance"。

DJ生涯

在Leiden的Nexus俱乐部，Armin学到了怎样做一名DJ，以此也开始了他的DJ生涯。在学校的时候一周他要在俱乐部表演超过四次，1999年，Dave Lewis、Dante Lee把Armin以DJ的身份举荐到了英国和美国表演。Armin在之后的DJ生涯中，进入了DJ magazine百大DJ全球排名。Armin已经在全球超过25个的国家进行过巡演，也经常出现在夏季的电音集会上。Armin在海牙的Dancetheater上创纪录的表演了12.5个小时。在美国，Armin常常在Passion 。Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Slinky,The Gallery -Ministry of Sound, London这种大型集会上表演。在2002年，他在Washington D.C开始发光发热。于此，也开始了在旧金山，休斯敦，波士顿，夏洛特，芝加哥，亚特兰大，奥斯汀，丹佛，纽约，洛杉矶，圣路易斯，明尼阿波利斯，西雅图表演，同时，也常出现在伊维萨岛的Amnesia俱乐部，巴利阿里群岛，西班牙。据Armin说，“歌迷与公众是一位DJ最重要的的东西”。在2006年11月11日，一场名叫Armin Only的live在鹿特丹第二次开始了，这一次是长达9小时，超过11000名歌迷的超大型live。

Armin van Buuren( born 25 December 1976)is a Dutch music producer, DJ, musician, remixer, pianist and songwriter.

Since 2001, Van Buuren has hosted a weekly radio show called A State of Trance, which currently is broadcast to more than 37 million weekly listeners in 84 countries on over 100 FM radio stations.This radio show propelled him to stardom and helped cultivate an interest in trance music around the world.

Van Buuren has won a number of accolades. He has been ranked the No. 1 DJ by DJ Mag a record of five times, five years in a row. He is currently ranked No. 4 on DJ Mag list for 2015.In 2014, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for his single "This Is What It Feels Like" featuring Trevor Guthrie, which makes him the fourth trance artist ever to receive a Grammy Award nomination. In the United States, he holds the record for most entries, twenty-one, on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.His 2008 studio album, Imagine, entered the Dutch album chart at No. 1, a first for a trance artist in Dutch music history.

On 2 March 2013, Van Buuren announced that his fifth studio album, Intense, was due to be released on 3 May 2013.

On 26 January 2014, Armin van Buuren attended the 56th Grammy Awards, in relation to his Grammy Award nomination for the single featuring Trevor Guthrie, "This Is What It Feels Like" in the category of Best Dance Recording.

On 8 May 2015, Armin van Buuren released the first single from his sixth studio album, Embrace which was released on October 29, 2015. The single is titled "Another You" featuring Mr Probz.

Three weeks after releasing "Another You", Van Buuren also debuted another remix from Game of Thrones official theme which is originally made by composer Ramin Djawadi.

On 16 October 2015 Armin van Buuren released the next single from Embrace called "Strong Ones" featuring Cimo Fränkel. This was followed by the release of his collaboration with Cosmic Gate "Embargo" on 22 October 2015.

To accompany the album's release, Van Buuren announced the return of the Armin Only series of parties.

This edition of the tour will be titled Armin Only: Embrace and is set to take place throughout both 2016 and 2017. As the title of the tour suggests, it will be based around the collection of music that he's showcased on his new album.
