Released on Mayer's Kompakt label, the schizophrenic and inconsistent album involved plenty of whimsical detours away from the producers' past. Later in the year, the duo gained further notice by fashioning a 14-minute remix of Rufus Wainwright's "Tiergarten," made available on iTunes and as a limited white-label 12".
