艺人介绍

Led by Henry Paul (b. 25 August 1949, Kingston, New York, USA) himself on guitar and vocals, this US rock band, formed in the late 70s, additionally featured Jim Fish (guitar/vocals), Bill Crain (guitar), Barry Rapp (keyboards), Wally Dentz (bass) and Bill Hoffman (drums). Prior to their foundation, Paul had played on the first three albums by the USA Outlaws, but he never achieved the same degree of success with his own outfit. Their 1979 debut for Atlantic Records, Grey Ghost, bore obvious similarities to the Outlaws’ patented southern rock, but subsequent releases moved away from that style to a more intimate AOR sound with personal themes dominating the lyrics. Despite a strong response from rock critics, following a final attempt to secure a mainstream audience with a self-titled 1982 album, the Henry Paul Band called it a day. Paul re-formed the Outlaws with Hugh Thomasson in the mid-80s, before relocating to Nashville and forming the highly successful new country outfit, BlackHawk.
