by Steve HueyThe spacey, mellow, Glasgow, Scotland-based indie rock outfit International Airport is essentially the project of Tom Crossley, who previously collaborated with the Pastels and Appendix Out. Crossley formed International Airport in 1996, employing a loose collective of contributors when the group began recording. Their first release was a 1999 7" on All City titled Airport Songs; International Airport's full-length debut, Nothing We Can Control, was issued in 2000, featuring studio help from Tortoise's John McEntire.
