by James Christopher MongerPennsylvania-born country siren Maggie Austin developed her love for the genre at a young age. Austin, the youngest of five children, spent her days on the family farm singing and training horses, one of which was chosen as an alternate for the U.S. Olympic team. Her cover of the Grammy Award-winning "Breathe" spent time at the top of the MP3.com country charts, garnering critical notice and a growing fan base in anticipation of her self-titled six-song demo CD in the spring of 2002. Austin's full-length debut, Georgia Clay Road, arrived in the spring of 2006.
