by Steve LeggettP.F. Sloan and Steve Barri wrote and produced countless surf and hot rod tracks in the mid-60s under various group names, one of which was the Rincon Surfside Band. Officially the Rincon band released one album, The Surfing Song Book, on Dunhill Records in 1965. Things get a little confusing here, though, since Sloan and Barri also released the exact same recordings in the exact same sequence as Willie & the Wheels on RCA Records that same year. When the album was finally released on CD, it was credited to the Rincon Surfside Band, which may or may not be the final word on the matter.
