by Ed RivadaviaSalt Lake City's Pushing Up Daisies (not to be confused with the Canadian act of the same name that was active in the mid-'90s) comprises brothers Gary (vocals) and Daryl McLaren (bass), Mike Morgan (guitar), Ian Peterson (guitar), Scott Witaker (keyboards), and Kel Prime (drums, ex-Anima Nera). Showcasing a groundbreaking form of progressive hardcore filled with atmospheric instrumental sections, melodic passages, clean-sung vocals, and even the odd theremin, the band's eponymous EP was recorded in 2001, but only given a limited released in 2003.
