by Kenyon Hopkin & William RuhlmannThe Fairline Parkway is comprised of multi-instrumentalists Zach Okun and Raj Gadhia. The duo released their debut, self-titled record on Lazyline Media in fall 2002. Afterwards, they parted company, with Okun moving to Arizona, then to Portland, OR, where he worked as a studio engineer and played with Antlerand, the Kingdom, and the Minders, while Gadhia, based in Washington, D.C., joined the band Roofwalkers. Eventually, the two reconvened the Fairline Parkway with new members Ben Licciardi, Krista Sharp, and Elmer Sharp, and played the SXSW music conference in 2007. They cut a second album, A Memory of Open Spaces, which was released by Washington, D.C.-based label The Kora Records on May 27, 2008.
