In the little suburb of Ann Arbor Michigan in 1993; Miss Bliss was born out of the rubble of the now dying British shoegaze scene. Miss Bliss entered into obscurity a brilliant example of American Blissrock. Instead of following the deep outer space drifting psychedelia of their peers in Michigan, like Auburn Lull and Windy & Carl, Miss Bliss focused on pop songs coated with marvelous textures and the exact dose of space rock.
Before splitting up in 1999, miss bliss released 3 CDs, all recorded in the mid-late 90s. the style gradually progressed from shoegazed influenced pop songs to less structured atmospherics, all with a indie mindset and a Brian Eno loving attention to sound.
Of the main current ex-members of Miss Bliss; Aaron Dresner plays with the blissed out country unit called, Dabenport. Ben Mullins records under the name Ben Benjamin, and MIke Gill is working on songs under the name fuselage.
