by MacKenzie WilsonAtlanta modern rock trio Marvelous 3 became a critics darling in 1999 with their smash single Freak of the Week from 1998s Hey! Album. They joined the ranks of Everclear, Foo Fighters, Buckcherry, and Creed as another energetic yet rollicking pop band. The band, which is comprised of Butch, Slug, and Jayce Fincher, also became MTV mainstays and landed tour spots with Collective Soul, Eve 6, blink-182, and Orgy. Not entirely distracted by quick-winded success, frontman Butch Walker honed his songwriting skills and co-wrote Right Now with Marylands SR-71. The band even donned fashion spreads for Calvin Klein and Abercrombie & Fitch. Marvelous 3 returned to the home front in 2000, releasing ReadySexGo! in September.
