Blessed by a Broken Heart are a mildly schizophrenic sextet hailing from Quebec, where they first started spicing their predominantly Christian metalcore songwriting with tiny dashes of punk, new wave, and hair metal in 2002. Comprised of members Hugh (vocals), Robbie (guitar and vocals), Simon (guitar and keyboards), Nathan (guitar), Tyler (bass), and Frank (drums), the group unveiled its debut album, All Is Fair in Love and War, through independent Blood & Ink Records in 2005. They officially signed to Century Media in early 2007 with plans to release their label debut later that year.
