Sankt Otten are a downtempo electronic duo from Germany affiliated with the Australian label Hidden Shoal Recordings. Founded in 1999 in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, Germany, the duo is comprised of Stephan Otten (drums, sampling, programming) and Oliver Klemm (guitar, keyboards) and has been complimentarily likened to Portishead. Sankt Otten made their recording debut in 1999 with the four-track Stille Tage im Klischee EP on Eleganz Records, followed by the full-length album Eine Kleine Traurigkeit (2000). They later switched to Hidden Shoal Recordings for their second album, Wir Koennen Ja Freunde Bleiben (2006), which includes the single "Fremdenzimmer." A year later they released their third album, Wunden Gibt Es Immer Wieder (2007).
