Matthew &Matt& Cardle (born in 1983)[citation needed] from Little Maplestead, Essex, is an English singer.
On 12 December 2010, he won the seventh series of the ITV show The X Factor winning a £1m recording contract to Syco Music owned by Sony Music Entertainment, finishing ahead of Rebecca Ferguson.
His cover of popular Biffy Clyro song &Many of Horror&, renamed &When We Collide&, was released immediately after winning the contest.
