艺人介绍

by Mike DaRoncoEmerged in New Yorks seminal No Wave scene in the early 1980s, The Ordinaries brought out their own avant-garde texture of fusing noise, punk classical and jazz that resulted in recognition from an audience who also took notice to innovators such as Sonic Youth and the Swans. Comprised of Angela Babin (guitar), Robin Casey (violin), Joe Dizney (guitar), Sven Furberg (bass), Kurt Hoffman (tenor saxophone), Barbara Schloss (violin), Jim Thomas (drums), Fritz Van Orden (alto saxophone) and Garo Yellin (cello), this ironically named nine-piece first took on a wider recognition with the European release of their self-titled first album in 1986. Recorded live at the infamous CBGBs, The Ordinaries soon embarked on their first of many European tours later on that year -with some additional support courtesy of Germanys Dossier Records who also released their debut. Bar/None Records came through three years later and put out The Ordinaries second record One.
