Born in 1999 and fleshed out membership-wise a year later, Poznan, Poland's Bloodthirst first came into the metal consciousness with their debut demo, End Is the Beginning, in 2001. The development of the thrash metal tracks that were part of the demo were not welcome by those involved, however, and founder and leader Rambo soon found himself having to recruit an entire new group with the demo still incomplete. With new bandmembers Kura (guitar), Angsar (bass), and Slayer (drums) in tow, the demo was eventually finished. Over the next few years, more demos and more lineup changes followed, with Bloodthirst finally able to move to the next step in independent metal -- the split release -- in 2005. In fact, Bloodthirst appeared on three splits that year, building up their cred and helping them hone their thrash chops. In 2006, Bloodthirst released a compilation of their previous appearances, and soon scored a deal with Pagan Records. The deal led, finally, to some real recording time, and in 2007 Bloodthirst's debut album, Let Him Die, hit the streets.
