by John BushA grunge band more popular for who has played with them rather than their actual recordings, Dogstar initially formed in 1990 with vocalist/guitarist Bret Domrose, drummer Rob Mailhouse, and bassist Keanu Reeves, who became much more famous for his acting than his bass playing. The group was an off-and-on concern during the early '90s but signed a deal with Zoo Records for their 1996 album debut, Our Little Visionary. The band -- or rather, Reeves -- made headlines during the year while on tour across the U.S. and Europe, and has also released an enhanced EP, Quattro Formaggio. Happy Ending, their sophomore effort, followed in 2000.
