艺人介绍

by Chris TrueWinner of the 1993 General Motors Award of Excellence as a young jazz musician, Jodi Proznick went on to become one of Canada's premier mainstream jazz bassists, playing with a number of established stars in the genre, as well as holding down a spot as a regular member of such groups as the Tilden Webb Trio, the Jill Townsend Big Band and the Miles Black Trio. Her own group, the Jodi Proznick Quartet, released its debut album, Foundations, to critical acclaim in 2007. Proznick studied music and McGill University before relocating to Vancouver. She has been a featured performer with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and in the summer of 2004, Proznick had her arguably most successful year, when she performed with the Oliver Gannon Quartet as an opening act for Oscar Peterson and won the Galaxie Rising Star Award at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. In 2008, her talent was once again recognized when she earned a nomination for Jazz Performance at that year's Juno Awards celebration.
